CATHOLIC

CHAPLAINCY

STUDENT IN SHEFFIELD?

Welcome to Sheffield University and Sheffield Hallam University Catholic Chaplaincy. We are here to serve and support you in your time at University. The Chaplaincy is a joint student community between the two universities and everyone is welcome!

The Chaplaincy provides a space for you to be supported in your Catholic faith and we provide opportunities for prayer and reflection to help you grow in faith and love.

There's always something happening at the Chaplaincy. We host a wide range of events and activities throughout the year designed to get students together having fun! We’re talking pub trips, BBQ’s, days out to the Peak District and weekends away. Check out our events section or our Facebook page or Instagram to see what we’re up to.

Most importantly, the Catholic Chaplaincy is here as a support for you whilst at university. Our Chaplaincy team are available to listen and help you should you need anything and they don’t make a bad 'cuppa' either!

So whether you’re looking for a cup of tea, an opportunity to get out to the Peaks, meet like minded people or just want to explore the Catholic faith, please do come and check out your Chaplaincy. We can’t wait to meet you!

The Catholic chaplaincy also hosts two student Catholic Societies for you to get involved with. Check them out below.

Catholic Society

Sheffield University Catholic Society is a student society that seeks to provide a ‘home from home’ whilst at university. We run lots of social events and weekly community evening that we'd love to welcome you to.

Our main weekly event is on a Tuesday evening where we get together, pray, share food and learn about the Catholic faith. We often conclude by going to the pub. It's a great way to meet other students.

We also get together for Sunday Mass.  Check out the Mass times tab for more details.

You can keep up-to-date through the Chaplaincy Facebook page or why not join our student Facebook group?

Sheffield Hallam Catholic Society

Sheffield Hallam University Catholic Society is a student society that supports students in their faith whilst at Sheffield Hallam. We welcome anyone and everyone and have regular socials for you to get involved with. We'd love to meet you on campus or in the Owen’s building.

Our main event is every Sunday evening at St Marie's Cathedral in Sheffield city centre where we celebrate Mass together and have a pub social. We also get together with Sheffield University Catholic Society on a Tuesday evening where we get together, pray, share food and explore the faith.
